Welcome to Ascend

By using Ascend, you agree to these terms. Ascend is a career management platform provided by Ascend Technologies. These terms govern your use of the service.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. One account per person.

Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Ascend. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Ascend for any illegal purpose, to harass others, to distribute malware, or to attempt to access other users' data. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Career Coach Conversations

When you use the Career Coach, your messages and the assistant's responses are stored as conversation threads tied to your account. These threads are retained indefinitely until you delete them — there is no automatic expiry. You can delete any thread at any time from the Career Coach page; deletion is permanent and applies to all messages in the thread.

Authorized Ascend personnel (super-admins) may read coach conversations for the limited purposes of customer support, abuse review, and debugging service issues. Access is logged. We do not use coach conversations for advertising or sell them to third parties.

Service Availability

We strive to keep Ascend available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. During beta, the service may experience downtime for updates and improvements.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
